Kiwanis Club of Glen Ellyn

Welcome to The Kiwanis Club of Glen Ellyn, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time, celebrating over 50 years of service.

Since 1954, the men and women of the Kiwanis Club of Glen Ellyn have contributed to the well-being of our community by giving time and financial support to a number of charitable organizations, educational programs, as well as to children and families in need. Members include community leaders, business people and private citizens who come together in the spirit of making a difference in our community. The camaraderie among our members is what has made this the area’s largest and most dedicated club.

To ensure that the legacy of our work will continue for generations to come, the Kiwanis of Glen Ellyn established an endowment fund in 1988 funded by the public and our members. Its purpose is to provide income to our foundation to carry on its charitable projects into the future.

Kiwanis International

Kiwanis International was founded in 1915 and is headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. It’s a thriving organization of service-minded men and women who respond to the unique need of their communities and address worldwide issues by “Serving the Children of the World.” Comprised of more than 600,000 members serving in more than 13,000 clubs in 79 countries, Kiwanis Young Children “Priority One” provides a focus of the needs of young children with programs for:

  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Child Care and Development
  • Parent Education and Support
  • Safety and Pediatric Trauma

The Kiwanis Mission & Vision

Kiwanis strives to be a positive influence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive. Our club fulfills the Kiwanis mission by serving our community through our service projects and leadership programs.

Thanks to all that contributed to the food drive last Saturday at the Glen Ellyn Jewel on Roosevelt Road. Your generosity netted 1,031# of food and $666.50 in donations! The Glen House Food Pantry will put this to good use helping those in need. We are collecting food and donations for the Glen House Food Pantry at the Jewell on Roosevelt Rd, Glen Ellyn until 4 pm today, May 25 thOur Top Needs List has been updated!

Ever heard the baseball term "can o' corn"? It refers to an easy catch—like a grocer effortlessly catching a can knocked from a high shelf into their apron as they often did in the 19th century, because canned goods were kept high on their shelves! Help us keep our own shelves stocked by donating the items below this week. Thank you for your continued support! ⚾🥫

Donations are accepted via the back double doors of our house (55 N. Park Blvd.) during these hours:

Monday/Wednesday/Thursday: 9am - 3pm
Tuesday: 9am - 6pm
Friday: 9am - 12pm
