On Monday, October 19th The Kiwanis Club of Glen Ellyn utilized The Aktion Club, a Kiwanis sponsored club for special needs adults, to assist us in making up snack packs. This Club is operated through Western DuPage Special Recreation Association (WDSRA). They packed in excess of 500 snack packs in the 1.5 hr time slot. This assistance allowed us to take a break from our normal Thursday packing.
If your organization would like to lend us a hand all you need to do is let us know and we'll work up a date.
THANK YOU AKTION CLUB!!

On September 21st the GE Kiwanis Club had the pleasure of having Jesse Oxford, author of Here For Good. The presentation and following discussion posed the question, "what is your organization going to look like in the future". Not in the 'future' we all use for forecasting but the FUTURE like 100 years forward. Why 100 years? Because this is the number that actuaries and statisticians universally use for three generations. How would you plan for inevitable changes so your organization will still be there in 2126.
Think about it.
