Over 22,500 DuPage residents rely on PRC for help each year offering nutritious food and other basic necessities like clothes and rent assistance for neighbors in need. PRC also connects people with resources –education and tutoring, jobs, technology, art, a caring community – to create a future of hope and opportunity for all.

Very interesting program on 5/20. Catherine Lynott, Executive Director; The Outreach House spoke about the needs of many DuPage County residents that surpasses just the food concerns. Think about the need for diapers as one of the necessities of family life. The following is a comparison of costs between disposable and cloth diapers.
Disposable:
Ease of use
Costly at approx $37 for 2 weeks use
Cloth:
Labor intensive @ 1+ hour/load
Laundromat @ $8-$10 per load
Detergent and bleach @ $2+

Thanks to all that contributed to the food drive last Saturday at the Glen Ellyn Jewel on Roosevelt Road. Your generosity netted 1,031# of food and $666.50 in donations! The Glen House Food Pantry will put this to good use helping those in need.
