We’re proud to partner with the Glen House Food Pantry enabling us to package and distribute snack packs to so many in need.THE SNACK CENTER IS HERE!
Nearly 3,000 square feet of space at 800 N. Roosevelt Rd. in Glen Ellyn has been transformed into our new Snack Center. This satellite location will be used to store nutritious snacks for our many youth program partnerships including Glenbard West and Glenbard South, Tri-Town YMCA in Villa Park, Frida Community Organization, The Parkview Collective through Parkview Community Church, and the Addison Public Library.
This space is also the new home of our longstanding SnackPack program. The Kiwanis Club of Glen Ellyn IL leads volunteers who pack 800 bags of nutritious snacks each week that are distributed through social workers at nearly 30 DuPage County schools. The SnackPacks are given to children on Fridays to help them get through the weekend when they have no access to free meals at school.
Shout out to the Joe and Jessica Schneider Family for sponsoring the launch of the Snack Center and to the Dunkin' Joy In Childhood Foundation for its sponsorship of the SnackPack program!
Thanks to the DuPage Foundation for their significant grant to purchase coolers and a freezer for storage of vital fresh produce and meat at the Snack Center.
